We can only go off the data we're given, and as I've sold well over 100 Slaves, I'm happy to count on the B&B units as reliable (at least for now). People will buy what they like at the end of the day - and I'm very much aware that a lot of replacement clutch and slave kits fitted to the 75/ZT are LuK, and I also bet a lot of those will outlive the cars they're fitted to. Each to their own.

![]() A good point, as poor fitting can shorten the life of the Slaves by an alarming degree. If the Slave isn't fitted completely flat to the gearbox body, it's obviously not going to be very good for the bearing assembly.

andi has fitted hundreds of LUK slaves ( including mine) and not had any complaints. he knows what he is doing and could probably do it blindfolded. a few people report LUK slaves failing- how do we know they werent installed incorrectly? we dont. but i'd rather trust the word of andi who is the forum's clutch genius and has a wealth of experience than one of anecdotal claims where we dont know who installed them. as stated previously, B&B rebrand the LUK slave as their own. why would they do this if it wasnt up to the job? |
