Ah so in order to get the same look as my new 501's I need 6000k?

My 75's General Information:


  • This vehicle was the 49,501st 75 to run off the production line, out of 112,381
  • This vehicle was the 1st 75 1.8 T Club SE to be made out of 3,980
  • This vehicle was the 1st 75 in Celestial (Special Metallic) (code: IAI) to be made out of 19 Celestial (Special Metallic) 75s

That is the colour I opted for, they have a blue tinge to them. If you go any higher, a purple hue is achieved. Slightly lower down the scale, the 5000K will produce white light.

It's been established before that OEM 4300K contains yellow.

I'm new to the xenon lights so I didn't know that I will get a set of me bulbs and see how they match the sides then all is left is the main beam and front fogs any recommendations for them?

John,

In the main beam position I have standard clear, run of the mill bulbs manufactured by Osram. I find that blue tinted bulbs in the clear reflector lens cause reflection of blue when not in use. The main beam on these cars is more than adequate without using upgrade bulbs anyway.

Blue tinted bulbs in the fog lights also give a reflection, so again decent quality clear bulbs are my choice.

In the front indicators on my car I have fitted chrome coated bulbs, they eliminate the " Fried Egg" look that amber bulbs leave.

Thanks for the advice pab taken in so all i need is a pair of 5000K xenons to match the new sidelights
