As indeed does mine
The ONLY thing which is unhappy is Epson scan - it scans absolutely fine - BUT it hangs when exiting. It simply means that I have to do a CTRL+ALT+DEL and end task to shut it down.

Can't understand that at all, mine doesn't have same problem, I can scan single or multiple pages, save as image or .pdf then exit as normal.

Have you tried right click on Start button, then select Task Manager using that to close Epson scan? Perhaps the best work around until fixed.

My Epson drivers were downloaded afresh for Windows 8.1, perhaps that's the difference?

I would suggest a visit to the Epson site and search for Windows 10 driver updates.

My PC reports Epson driver update on 13/8/15 presume this was HP Assist change when I ran it. Seems you now to follow advice above.

Epson are a bit disappointing - they have a section of their USA website totally given over to Windows 10, compatibility problems etc. The Epson UK or EU sites don't have that same section - and unfortunately my printer doesn't appear on the USA site. I've installed the Epson software updater which checks regularly for any new drivers etc. which they release - in the meantime, it's not a huge hardship to CTRL+ALT+DEL to close the scan program after I've used it

My laptop is a few years old but not that long ago TBH I could, and can live with it, if only it would work with XP but that cannot be done either. It is apparently locked into Vista
If you are still wanting to put XP (or any other OS) on it then please PM me, done this for a looonnnggggg time, happy to sort it for free.

That was written on the 7th and it has just started the queued download this evening. To be fair, I only turn this laptop on maybe once per day, usually in the late evening. It didn't notify me, I only found out the download was in progress, by clicking on the Win10 upgrade icon in the Notification area bottom right.

Fix a poor handbrake; DIY ABS diagnostic unit; Loan of the spanner needed to change the CDT belts; free OBD diagnostics +MAF; Correct Bosch MAF cheap; DVB-T install in an ex-hi-line system; DD install with a HK amp; FBH servicing.

I've taken a vow of poverty. To annoy me, send money.

Thanks Steven for the offer , however I have one of my Director colleagues who is in the computer business who has offered a free service as well, as he is intrigued by the limitations apparently on my laptop and now will take it on as a "personal challenge"
