Most important is it an under 60min job?

Yes, an hour is more than enough time.

There is a how-to on here somewhere.

Just un-clip the rear bulb cluster.
Undo 3 nuts.
Pull out the rear light unit.
Gently pull off the gasket.
Refit new.
Replace light unit etc.

If you are handy with a craft-knife, you can easily make your own gaskets.
Just buy some 5mm A4 foam sheets from your local craft store. Use the original gasket as a template, and job done.

Have asked for a set here:

I can't believe it's happening to me again ?!!!
At least before I had 2 cars and a garage.

Now only one car (no backup) and no dry garage to work in

Well

My coolant s temp a bit on the high side:

A de-mist test shows:
1. I have a 3 speed fan (no silver resistor)
2. And the low speed is not working

So
May need new brushes (for fan)
Or replace with a used 2 speed fan (with gold resistor)
Or replace with a brand new Revotec 2 speed fan from Jules for £260 fitted

Costs and issues started to mount up now (as well as the rear light seals leaking)....

Still unsure why the battery + oil pressure lights constantly flicker when driving (but goes off when stationary):

Air con stink to de-contaminate at some point too...

Wayne, that list of yours on the other thread does bring a little concern.

All are repairable with some help and advice from some of the clubs great members. I just don't like observation number 1 along with your oil light, lets just hope you are being over cautious as you say. Have you checked your oil level on the dipstick?

Were the oil light & battery light on when on test drive, what about the whining noise, and the braking to the left etc?

1. Bonnet up - some light grinding noise from engine occasionally?
Could just be me over cautious!

2. Fan kicks in frequently and on immediate start up

3. Smelly stinky air con on warm setting (will take to garage to decontaminate)
- air con not cold enough for me

4. Lose passenger door trim by lock knob
But Malcolm gave it a good whack - fixed! Lol

5. Driver window rattle (lose)

6. 160miles mostly motorway and nearly 1/2 tank

7. Very slow hesitant before powers comes on for auto kick down

8. Slow delivery of power

9. Low whining /running noise heard in cabin (v6?)

10. Strong smell of fuel on start up outside (car has no cat)?

11. Driver inside door handle lose - looks like its be removed a few times due to the chippings around the edges

12. Car veers to the left as u brake (steering wheel turns left)

13. Squeaking brakes

14. Rear spoiler seals (gaskets) looks brittle - might replace

15. Steering wheel vibrates from 70mph
1. Bonnet up - some light grinding noise from engine occasionally?

Could be anything, where do you hear the grinding noise? Could be your alternator bearing, that would explain your battery light. Check your water level in exspansion tank, could be your waterpump bearing. Could also be related to #9.

2. Fan kicks in frequently and on immediate start up
Did you do the demist test, start engine, press the demist button, walk round to front of car to check fan is spinning. I'm sure Steve (Artic) or Simon (SD1too) will be along to help.

3. Smelly stinky air con on warm setting (will take to garage to decontaminate)
- air con not cold enough for me
Replace pollen filter, situated top right of engine bay. Aircon can be easily checked.

4. Lose passenger door trim by lock knob
But Malcolm gave it a good whack - fixed! Lol
Well done Malcolm.

5. Driver window rattle (lose).
Loose runner, broken component. Numbers 4 & 11 could be related due to previous owner trying to make a repair before.

6. 160miles mostly motorway and nearly 1/2 tank.
Not sure, hard one... heavy footed or maybe linked with #10.

7. Very slow hesitant before powers comes on for auto kick down.
Jacto box problem, could be a sensor or solenoid, you don't want it to be one of the clutches. I'm sure someone will be along with some better advice.

8. Slow delivery of power.
MG & 75's are not that great on acceleration anyway, could be the norm, otherwise check the VIS motors (message stocktake). As long as the autobox is not being hesitant, shouldn't be a problem.

9. Low whining /running noise heard in cabin (v6?)
Could be anything, does it whine when stationary, or when car is moving. Could be wheel bearing, could be the autobox. Where do you think the whining noise is coming from? Could also be related to #1

10. Strong smell of fuel on start up outside (car has no cat)?
Is it fitted with a modified exhaust?

11. Driver inside door handle lose - looks like its be removed a few times due to the chippings around the edges.
Could be related to numbers 4 & 5, previous owner making a repair before regarding loose window.

12. Car veers to the left as u brake (steering wheel turns left).
Related to #13, low pads, a seized piston/caliper, brake hose. Could be simple as a bad worn tyre, or tracking.

13. Squeaking brakes.
Low worn pads, or check if new pads have been fitted recently, could have been fitted incorrectly (causing problem related to #12)

14. Rear spoiler seals (gaskets) looks brittle - might replace.
Easy fix.

15. Steering wheel vibrates from 70mph
May be related to #12 & 13, or normally its wheel balancing.

I'm sure other members will be along that can offer more help.
