![]() Its a 2007 Altea 502 dk, 5 berth, had it since new, and would never sell it,as I had a valuation done on px deal for the equivalent new model about 3/4 years ago,it was less than £4.5k

![]() towing a 2009 Bailey Ranger 460-4 with my 2.5 v6 with no problem. Caravan has MTPLM of 1184 kgs and well within the capabilities of the car on flat and hills. Ref the Bailey caravans, if any recent model has dampness there must be a maintenance or useage problem as they are weathertight in the extreme.

![]() How did you get on, the dealer was steering me too bigger and heavier caravans than I was looking at ... I had steered clear of twin axle ones in my hunt though because of the weights ... I am reconsidering and thinking of using my V8 Discovery as my tow car instead of the R75 tourer as I have gone for a heavier caravan than I started out looking for ... I will be heading down a weighbridge to check everything once I pick up the caravan ...

![]() Great,
It's tows it no problem. Even though heavier twin axles tow much better as less nose weight and much more stable. I would always choose a twin. A fair few in the capability of our cars like lunar models. My old van was also a twin axle and the mg towed much better than my disco 300tdi I have a 25ft lunar Lexington and my old can was a 25ft lunar delta. Mg tows both and you have to be careful to keep it below 60 as they are very stable |
