"Grace, space and pace"! Start again with that and you will have a successful car! My 1967 "S" type was lovely! Jaguar estate cars? Nah! Jaguar diesels? Nah! Jaguar SUV's? Oh No! It should never have happened!

I think the diesels were necessary in order to compete with BMW and Mercedes in the european markets, but I agree on the other points.

The all new Jaguar will debut after 2025 with some surprising details!

"A surprising detail sourced by Autocar is that the upcoming Jaguar EVs will no longer get the leaping cat emblem that’s currently present in the manufacturer’s portfolio and instead the brand name will be spelled out across the front and rear in a new font, similar to what Land Rover is doing with its models."

"Another striking detail is that none of the upcoming three Jaguar EVs will feature a rear window and instead will rely on a video camera that feeds a live view to a digital mirror at the base of the windshield."

I'm sure I read somewhere that the Powers To Be at JLR/Tata are going to drop the Land Rover monika? Wonder if they've done any market research on the deletion of rear window. Looking at camera output on a screen in the console (or wherever) is not the same as looking behind whilst estimating distances via the human eye via the rear window. Still, I'm just an old fogie set in his ways. Gen-Z will take it all on board.

The new Polestar 4 has the same rear window set up.

Going by the tiny cameras that replace the large mirrors in some of the new lorries that l drive, the grainy image that they give you is absolutely no patch on the perfect pin-sharp picture that is a mirror reflection, especially at night when judging distance via a camera is mainly guesswork. Just another hi-tech, high price solution to a problem that never really existed in the first place.

Is the reversing information done via a HUD (Head Up Display)?

My take exactly. As useful as an electronic handbrake or a ash tray on a motorbike.

Not sure whether it's on the HUD or the centre screen, It's the same system Range Rover has been using 'Clear sight HD camera' in the past few years.
