Even as a kid i respected his stand on being called up to go to fight in Asia.

Right or wrong he was very brave to do that .

Converting to Islam was also his choice and i think he would be saddened to see what Islam has become today or at least those who propose to act in its name .

Such sad news. I had the good fortune to meet this gentle man when my then wife arranged for him to visit a youth project in Washington during a fund raiser. He was brilliant, modest, encouraging, inspiring, he just could not do enough.

A truly great man.

Being the Son of a semi pro boxer, i was brought up watching Ali fight, it was the way he carried himself outside the ring that impressed me.

The greatest boxer in the ring, a true Gentleman everywhere else.

Rest In Peace, you deserve it for the fight you had to endure.....
