Mines is Hi Line Nav, but it is a CDTi.

The ISO connectors were down behind the cup holders.

Had to take the Nav screen, climate controls and switch panel out to get at it.

Very neat Christopher.

I had to go to my car and look at my interior light, as on your photo it looks as if the middle bit is wood effect, and I thought mine was biege. It's not, of course, it's shiny black, presumably yours is the same, and it's reflection. Thought I'd found something else to give the walnut treatment to!

On my car, I've got the oldish Nokia hands free through the radio, and the microphone is velcro'd to the headlining with the wire hidden behind the interior light. Looks neat, but I'll have a look see if I can incorporate it in the light unit to make it even neater.

Also many thanks to DeeCee, if you hadn't said that the connectors needed were buried down the back of the cupholders on the Highline I would have given up looking and spliced all the wires which would have taken a great deal longer.
I had to take everything out of the front console and found the hifi connectors buried right under the ashtray housing, but the job only took about one and a quarter hours so I'm very happy!

Where did you get your boom mike from DeeCee, I can't find any available anywhere. My phone doesn't understand my voice commands when I'm driving along, only when I'm stationary. Too much ambient noise. I'll try repositioning the mike again but I doubt if it will work, having tried it several times already.

I fastened my mike on to the top of the steering nacelle again and now it's working perfectly. It understands all of the voice commands immediately, so I don't need to press any buttons now!

On the whole voice recognition thing, would it make a difference if you were to record the actuation whilst traveling, so the ambient noise is in the recording?

It might be able to match it then?

If you get my drift...

Yes, I tried that because I had the same idea but it didn't make any difference, but when I resited the mike today it solved everything and it's now working perfectly. Thanks anyway!
