Is the spiral cable not a BMW derivative ? if so, I think some of those cars have illuminated switches with cruise etc, surely there would be enough pins spare

There is 2 unused pins on the connector used for the horn and ice controls

Anymore thoughts on this?
I've found a couple of blue LED's on a fly lead, very small but produce plenty of light. The 1p coin gives you an idea of the size. |

Yes Paul I have ordered some parts and I am waiting for them to turn up, once they do I will see how it looks on my spare steering wheel before I start looking at how to get ignition switched 12 volts to the steering wheel.
I also need to know what size or type of box crimp fits in the black connector, i posted a question on Sunday in the forum but no one has answered it. |

I've been to trikeys lockup today and pinched this [ATTACH]17646[/ATTACH so now I can investigate the possibility of lighting the switch
