Sent by DHL, so it is next day worldwide. 2 units (1 double din, 1 double din and 10 dvd changer) was £40 p&p plus bank transfer costs and not sure how much the tax was, about £30 i think. Also they were slightly more because they were sample units (a one off buy to test the product). Without rumaging through my paperwork, the total cost by memory was about £450 for the 2 units.

I'm trying to get a large order so they will become cheaper.

I've come across this thread without reading it right through, so forgive me if I'm off track. I was going to enclose a photo of my dash, which has a double din fascia plate from an E46 BMW. I bought it from a guy in the States who makes them himself.
I think it's the one that has been refered to in this thread, but unfortunately I was told the photo exceeds the file size limit. They can be seen in my gallery (phil260) on the XPForum, though, if you like.

Is it possible for me to order a unit thru you then? I'm not a Paypal user and i have never Ebay'd something myself. And it might help you to enlarge your order to. I'll pay in advance if you want to.

I've only got a few people interested so far. Are you in any hurry to buy? If not I will wait a while longer and then get a quote from the company with whoever is on my list at the time.
Any prefered model? I assume its to be used in the UK (for PAL settings)?

That looks pretty neat and tidy. It's mounted at a slight angle facing up. Mounting at an angle may solve the problem of standing out too far. I'l play about with mine on the weekend I think.

Actually, it is mounted vertically and the bottom of the unit is 1cm or so back when it is switched off. The top is flush.
When powered up it goes into tilt mode, and the bottom tilts out slightly. It is a switchable feature of the unit.

So is the head unit not as deep as the standard size or does the V8 have for room behind there?
