What a totally idiotic thing to say, the idea is if a car is a viable, and indeed a nice looker, what does it matter that a short sighted insurance loss adjuster has classified it as not economically viable to repair.
I bet you'd be happy if some toerag decided to key your car, then you find it "written off", by one of these wonderful insurers.
Would that make your car worth less than the PAV.
You could always take the money and run, and I'd bet you'd be happy to break it wouldn't you

I am off to look at Italianstallions rover this morning, I phoned my insurance company and aske them where they stand on this class D write off, and they told me they are not interested in a class D, as its only very very minor, they dont want any paperwork, they dont want to send an engineer round, and it make no difference to my insurance premiums, all I have to do is sell my other motor and change the insurance over, just £38 for admin costs. so this baby may be coming home with me later on today.

Good luck. It does look a good one.
My wife has a Cat D Picasso and the only thing the insurance company wanted was a copy of the MoT cert.
I've had cat D cars before and there's nothing wrong with them.

Yes, good luck tankie! That seat problem is more likely to be a switch issue rather than anything else......

Hi Bill.
Thanks matey, I will let you know when I get it home, I am going to put my clamp meter on it and see if its pulling any power, I am hoping it may be just a lose connector block/plug

Cheers
John

We'll it was very nice to meet John and his wife, cracking folk who braved the icy East Arsdley winds to take over ownership of my lovely car.

I felt a bit sad watching her drive away, but from meeting John, I know the car is in very good hands and I look forward to seeing her go from strength to strength.

The things I'll miss the most about are the lovely cream leather, the heated seats in winter and pressing that rear sun blind button in slow moving traffic.

I won't be without a rover for too long though, as I will have my mums car on my drive in a few months time, so you haven't got rid of me just yet .

Wishing you all the best with your new car and let me know when you get the seat sorted.

Fraser

Well if every club member is as lovely as Fraser, you should be very proud. I have now taken ownership of this beautiful motor " That he USE to own" when I pulled into the street I knew it was mine as soon as I saw it, and very respectfully, for all the people who thought about buying it.... well you really and truly lost out. I have now got to find some Rover mats in light tan to match the upholstery, Fraser. It was a pleasure dealing with you, and I feel as though I left more as friends rather than just a customer, its lovely to own a 75 Conny again. 150% wonderful and trusted seller.

Cheers
John
