Good luck with that Tony, that must be the first "in need of attention" V8 that's been for sale that you haven't been the first suggested buyer. You're stealth radar must have been on.
I'll need to get down to pick up those headlights from you and check it out.

Many thanks, Jim.

KC's last MOT in February said:
"Reason(s) for refusal to issue Certificate
Nearside Rear Tyre tread depth below requirements of 1.6mm (4.1.E.1)
Offside Rear Tyre tread depth below requirements of 1.6mm (4.1.E.1)
Registration plate lamp not working (1.1.C.1d)
Offside Rear Sub-frame corroded and seriously weakened (2.4.G.1) **DANGEROUS**
Nearside Rear Sub-frame corroded and seriously weakened (2.4.G.1) **DANGEROUS**
Centre Rear Sub-frame corroded and seriously weakened (2.4.G.1) **DANGEROUS**
Advisory Notice issued
Nearside Front Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)
Offside Front Tyre worn close to the legal limit (4.1.E.1)"

The sub-frame tube is BAD, so I have a cunning plan. Clue here:

Just need to get it out now!

Is the subframe a weak point on the V8's then or is this just a really bad one.

Afaik can be, especially on the earlier ones - however many current owners have addressed the problem. I used to own #670 and that only had surface corrosion.

Thanks, Ken. Headlights are tucked away for you as and when.
