A lovely car.

I'd have it like a shot but alas the pockets are empty

Really hope it stays in the 'club'

Default Offers?

Anyone?

I stand by my view that the car needs to be sold to (and be appreciated by) a member of this club

However, if there is only limited interest I will have no real option but to advertise it on 'e-bay' and elsewhere

Most of you know the cost involved with the work recently done and will understand that the car is 'well sorted' (i.e. very useable and shouldn't need much attention over the next 5 years or so) in addition to having historic significance

I will look at advertising it elsewhere during the next couple of days. I appreciate that most things comes down to 'market forces' and affordability. I think the price is reasonable and reflects work done and I see the value of this one increasing during the next few years.

Over to you lot now.

I would chip in too Maybe we should start a petition and pledge thread to save S577 AOX from oblivion and keep it under the club ownership. The problem would be storing the vehicle, same as OVP at the moment which is being kept outside in the rain. I am not sure what the club moderators owners would think about this, but if she can not be kept inside the club and saved then there is very little hope for the other S registrations out there that are currently being cherished by there current owners. My fear is that if this vehicle is sold on ebay it will probably be broken up for spares and that will be very sad indeed if that happens.

Is there really no-one in this large club that hasn´t the -where with all- to get this as a hobby car Amazing I think the reason for there being so few of these left isn´t because that most were LHD (although MGR want´t to sell most of them abroad), I think there was roughly an equal number, but because all the RHD ones have been scrapped.

Don´t they do garages/lock ups in the UK any more. Surely there must be a decent lock up somewhere for both this and OVP. That OVP apparently has to stand out in the rain .... what a club (mind you, as far as OVP is concerned, the owner should see to it that it comes under cover)

All I can say is that the one I own, which is the oldest one in the club, allbeit LHD, is always kept under a roof in the dry. So if we are not carefull the only old one left in the club could be a left hooker (perish the thought)
