I popped over a PM but it's worth mentioning it here; the entrance fee covers the entire event so you can pick any day - Sunday is the main event. Saturday is the drive-out & driving tests day, while Friday is when those from far and wide will be turning up.

Well, that was a busy weekend. 84 beautiful examples arrived Sunday, and so many looked absolutely pin-sharp too (apart from the blue one dumped at the top by our gazebo). The standard across the board was quite incredible. Mark Fraser's Firefrost ZT Turbo gleamed spotlessly, while a few yards away a V8 Supercharged complete in wide body trim sat in quiet menace. The factory missed a trick with that.
If anything it made it harder for everyone to decide which should win this year's Gryphon Award, which also meant a wide range of the cars got votes, with 4 tying for 4th place and third to first separated only by single votes too. I'm hopefully going to see some pics land with me very soon (To my shame I didn't get a chance to take any and Roverfest does get us all running about a lot) but I can let you all know the results for this year were: Gryphon Award winner: Gerry Lloyd, 75C Convertible Second Place: Max Stewart, 75 V8 Tourer Third Place: Cliff Bradley, 75 Connoisseur SE saloon Max also picked up the Roverfest Award this year for best in class. But more than the award, it's a huge pleasure to see so many people, plenty first-timers too, after such a tumultuous last couple of years for us all. I've written some notes down concerning questions asked to me, so some points raised about ECUs, headlining and sunroof seals for example are already being chased as of this evening Roverfest returns in 2024, but for now many thanks to everyone who came along and I hope to see you all again much sooner. |

Brilliant day!
Had a great time although I was shooting video in the 200/400 area whilst the 75/ZT OC awards ceremony was taking place, pity. It was also a pity that by the time I got to the 75s that quite a lot of members had already left. Some video screenshots of the award winning cars Already looking forward to RoverFest 2024. Rover fest
Enjoyed our day on Sunday. Our 1st Roverfest and not our last. Great weather and great company. Met some lovely people. cars were fantastic, how do you choose from such a vast array of 75 & MGs. We went for the Aubergine saloon largely because of the interior. Grateful thanks to Pete for his tireless efforts. Already diarised for 2023.

Ian Portsmore who owns the street sleeper P4 also owns my old P4 now as he has a thing for early alloy-panelled 110's. We had a nice chat at the event yesterday.
A grand day all told & we had a nice evening Saturday too as we travelled up & pitched our tent for the night to save an early start on Sunday. I did see the VIN plate on the convertible. A very impressive piece of work despite some niggles with the hood mechanism.

A great day out, and a real treat to see Gerry's convertible up close, it really is a remarkable achievement
I took my camera, but took hardly any photos . No real reason, I think I've just got out of the habit Anyhow, a few from me to hopefully start the ball rolling :
