Arctic, now I have my car running I was able to test my handbrake properly today.
The compensator mod. works great and now takes only 3-4 clicks to fully hold At my last MoT I was told I would soon need new handbrake cables because they had ''stretched'' and that it only just passed by fully adjusting at the wheels. MoTs will be no problem now! many thanks

I changed the front single cable a few years ago before the stretched compensator was discovered.
Measured it against the old one and if anything the new one was a tad longer, and it was OEM from the local main dealer. The good news was the cost was reasonable, and it was easy enough to fit just by taking the centre cubby hole and rear ashtray out, although a bit fiddly getting the plastic locking clip into the compensator itself. So as wastes of time go, it wasn't that bad. Mike |

Hi Mike
I have fitted two but these were due to the adjuster nut being tightened right down onto the chamfered square shaft and would not move, on cable even snapped you also have to lift a retaining lug so the cable will slide out i found it more time consuming than fitting the compensator Arctic. Only a few more days before the 19th and i wil not be sending any out until the 25th after the Wolves nano, also anyone want one fitting at the up and coming nano in Wolverhampton on the 21st & 22nd July please drop me a PM for details and time/day you can make it Arctic. http://www.wolverhamptonnanomeets.com/index.html https://www.the75andztclub.co.uk/forum/showpost.php?p=1049755&postcount=33
