I didn't say which party was to blame, my intention was to say that it is the same 'group' of people, that is the Westminster parliamentarians, that are despised. OK, I mentioned that Osborne was due to announce these sweeteners, but I also said that Labour and the LDs agreed, and low and behold, Gordon Brown was quicker on the draw yesterday, when he announced "my idea" regarding the bribe, even though thousands have already cast their postal votes.

I am not a one party man and have voted for all three, for different reasons, over the years. I agree that Blair and particularly Gordon Brown, brought the UK to its knees, but I didn't see the then opposition pointing out what most of us could see was happening and I don't think the current incumbents can crow about their success. We still have high levels of personal debt, funded by stupidly low interest rates, that will soon hit the fan and cause hardship to the mortgagees and out of control house price inflation in London, plus so many other things that were promised reform, but haven't had it.

We just don't have the right people in politics, they are career politicians with little life experience and that is why we, including the Scots, are so disillusioned with politics. They are unable to face up to difficult situations and when they try, they either back off before the job is done, pass the buck to some other quango, or throw loads of cash at it, in the hope it will solve it. I can only name two high profile politicians that give me confidence, Philip Hammond and Alan Johnson. Where have all the 'Statesmen' gone?

Sorry about the rant, but we do need people that we can trust to get things put right and not just make changes for change sake.

I do think, sadly, the vote will be Yes, the bit I am not looking forward to is the messy divorce that will follow.

I have a feeling us soft as **** UK tax payers will end up giving too much away when we should be going, OK get yourselves off and establish your own infrastructure, or pay the UK government the cost of separating the existing infrastructures.

Now David Cameron wants the queen to Intervene to push the no vote.

It makes me now want the 'YES' vote to be carried, if only to whip the smug smiles off Darling and Cameron's faces killing two birds with one stone

i must say the tories and labour getting into bed together is puke worthy.

Pass the bucket.

Cameron has left prime ministers questions to his deputy tomorrow so that he and Milliband can come north to boost the NO campaign.

No panic there then .
