Today I thought 'about time I gave the car a wash...'

Once washed I thought 'might as well stick a little bit of polish on it'.

Once polished I thought 'hmm, should put a bit of wax on it now....'

So I am completely knackered now, car looks good though....

I cleaned the ZT, and my 75 for tomorrow's meet. Got a little carried away with the ZT cleaning though! Now it's raining.

Finally got round to fitting the 'poverty spec' WinCE DD I bought a couple of months ago - a HUGE improvement on the Harmony b*llocks with a broken CD changer (a glove box you can put stuff in is a bonus too ) and it's transformed the interior tbh - I want an Android one now though

Opened the bonnet... Cable had snapped, not sure of the correct way in but gosh the method I used killed me. I hate myself for cable tying the cable block to the car to keep it from popping off. Took ages but I am in so time for some new cables

Well some sunshine and a day of not being a taxi for the kids so spent a few hours on the MG today.
Sucked out any remaining water in the car with Vax
Took apart the dash to find the cause of my water leak. Tried sealing a couple of places. Cleaned up and sealed around the scuttle connectors.

Took undertray off the car as it had some clips missing - first time I've had a proper look and it all looks clean and well maintained underneath which is great. Unfortunately the air intake hose from the air box just fell out and had completely disintegrated where it is supposed to connect. Need to get another one.
Cleaned out the Plenums again from underneath - both have been trimmed at some point in the past. Got some muck out of the one that is normally hidden under the servo.
Undertray refitted and new bolts fitted.

Then had a go at cleaning the headlights but they are in need of a proper sanding I think. The cutting compound I used improved them but couldn't shift the main marks and fogging.

Sadly then the rains came again but at least I can see now if the water comes back in.

Did absolutely nothing today - it's been tipping down in Cornwall all day and I don't have a garage
I was planning to remove bumper, adjust slam panel, fit Viton O-rings & polish cloudy headlights.
A day wasted :'(
