Seems are quite a few on here who think they are above the rest, especially those whose name appears in colours other than blue.

I totally agree with this, I recently answered a question in the technical section but the rest of the thread seemed to be taken up with inane chatter about cats!

This club is becoming an embarrassment. Clearly it needs a very large shake up.

I as many others have done also, have given many hours to this club, helping each other. Now all I read is little diggs here and there >> what's my problem you ask? Well it's simple, think of those outside looking in.

Poorly moderated is an understatement, facebook has less drivel I wasn't sure whether to actually post at all, fearing post hijackers, with mistyped posts. Even the fear of a ban crossed my mind. I would have click post report buttons, but that would have took too much time and I wouldn't have got to read many threads.

The clubs members have been fantastic to me throughout the years, and I really felt part of the family.

Reading through this site I have seen over the years how things have changed, and it grieves me that 'a few good men' have fallen through crossfire. It appears to be starting all over again!!

Please only reply with valid civilised comments, otherwise I ask the moderators to close the thread.

It seems a shame to have such a jaded view of what is a vast repository of focussed knowledge and experience (with a huge number of dedicated fora for those with other trains of thought).

By its nature there will be a very wide spectrum of members, most of whom get exactly what they want because they take the trouble to search it out. Like me. In my case my membership has been invaluable.Certainly worth far more than the modest £10 subs. if all I seek is 'value for money'. As for the naysayers and argumentative types - good luck to them. Misery always seeks its own company and therefore finds its own level. Ignored, largely. I recommend you do the same.
Your ideals and expectations, if I may say so, are of the highest. That also means you are likely to be disappointed, wherever you look. Utopia is a fiction, so far anyway.
Try again to be satisfied with the variety of human conditions and ignore those you don't like. Works for me!
As for tech subjects with few replies (post 14) it just might mean that most of the contributors feel that the question has been satisfactorily answered!

Provided a question posted has been answered and the problem resolved, then it doesn't make any diff what the thread does after that, you don't have to read it do you?..

If this site tried to become just a "techie site", the membership would drop to virtually nil..
