Strange that these water pumps are so fragile at times. I just had this cropping up in another thread. They are not reliable in many cases.
If the leak is from within the pump, it has nothing to do with the fitting or the mechanic. It just emphasizes the prudence of continuous, relentless and frequent fluid checks on these engines. |

Just an idea you could strip the engine mount, remove the aux belt and then the crank pulley with the plastic gaurd behind it.
You then will be able to see and smell OAT that has dripped down from the pump on to the crank sprocket like the image on the thread i mentioned earlier. This would then save any further stripping down of the aux items and removal of the chest. John |
