I'm even visiting my sister in Hythe soon so could deliver it to Dover...

Stick a Synergy 2 on it and you'll be fine!

You certainly won't have to worry about fuel economy... or messing it up
Get it bought lad. Problem solved!

Well you could get a LPG conversion mate, get yourself a 6 months interest free via card, and pay it off that way.

not a lover of the lgp ,to me its like a driving a bomb waiting for it to go off ... the tourer was good but i want an auto . good price for something that you can just run in to the ground ,i have knee trouble so all the gear changing will kill me on a drive .forgot to add the car has the metal tee peice the hans gauge and the hids which are very very bright ,and also finishes off the look i was trying to get with my car ... mmmmmmmmmmmmm

There is nothing out there in the same price bracket that has any anywhere near as much character as a 75. In fact, come to think there is nothing out there that has any character at all. They are all just plain black plastic inside, all very functional and efficient, but with no emotion put in.

Have you ever driven a 75 diesel? My boss had a 318tds, which has the same engine, he borrowed mine to go to the shops and was convinced mine was a Petrol. Had to open the bonnet to prove it wasn't.

The power delivery of the CDT(i) is fantastic. With members on here doing the x_power upgrade on CDT's for £100 or so and the addition of a Synergy you are easily pushing 150BHP. That takes it to 2.0 V6 and 1.8 T territory but with the benefit of far superior torque.

There is next to no diesel clatter and the power delivery is lovely and linear. You honestly need to test drive one. For £3000 you could pick up a nice CDTi Tourer with a very decent spec. You know it makes sense.

Quick ebay look found a few for between £2500 and £3250. This is my pick of the bunch http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2003-ROVER-75-...item2565573dd5
