I know from reading Autocar John that they love the interior of their long term XF (especially at night with the lighting) and say its probably the best of any car available today.

The front was taken from the XF-C (the XF concept car), especially the headlights:

Effectively, nothing to do with the XF on the inside.
I wish the head unit in the XJ be brought also to the XF (at least the top specs ones). It's amazing what it could do, like dual view: the driver sees something like the GPS, while his passenger sees something completelty different, like a movie, etc... at the same time and with no interference, also, lots of car controls... I also love the fact that the dials are purely virtual and could be changed to suit the driving style or mood... fantastic.

Default Nice footage of the new XJ, shot in Paris

Nice footage of the new XJ, shot in Paris

From UK Car News:
"Jaguar have produced a new promo video for the new XJ, moodily shot in wet weather in Paris. A solace or an irritation for customers waiting to take delivery?"

IIRC there was a Range Rover with a similar gizmo on Top Gear a while back?

When you think how radical Sir William Lyons was with his new Jaguar designs,I think Ian Callum is on the same track. He made a lovely job of the DB7 for Aston.Looking around at the current Luxury cars,BMW/AUDI especially, they all look quite similar and I think he wants to catch that modern looking market yet have a unique design.I thought the XF was a little of the beam but the more you compare it to current other luxury cars its way ahead and I am sure the new XJ will knock the socks of the other makes. The inside is beautifully finished and the idea of a "glass instrument panel"...similar to aircraft ,why the others have not done this so well I don't know. There is a very good review in one of the magazines out now where they take a MK1 XJ6 to Paris and compare notes with the new one.Its great to see a BRITISH designed car up there with the best these days.Good Luck to Jag on this one.P.
