The correct way to use the mini roundabout is to stop if you have traffic on your right, but.. if the front car moves off, 90% of the time the whole row tries to follow (as in my case) .. What they should do, is move up to the broken line and wait their turn..
Dunno what you do once all lanes are full and everyone is stationary though.. heh heh... ... |

Pass it all onto your insurers James and they can do the necessary investigations and arrange settlement if their claims are proven or not or are fraudulent.

It's significant that there are several interpretations of what you do at roundabouts, it's a minefield. I confess I haven't read the Highway Code in far too long, but tend to assume that traffic coming from my right will continue until it's all gone, human nature being what it is, with nobody willing to wait and take their turn.
Road conditions and try-it-on attitudes these days are making dash cameras suddenly very attractive.

Hi Wraymond. In this case a dash cam wouldn't have helped, as the car came at me at 120 degrees from the right hand (offside rear).....

From all the details, and if I were the assessor (happy days), the significant aspect is you being struck from the rear.
Be prepared for a claim for driving in reverse round a r'bout.

My insurers finally called me!
Just to ask me which lane I was in??? When the incident occurred on one of those tiny painted on the road roundabouts? Nice to know they are up to date with everything innit! Finally, when asked, they told me they are denying responsibility and denying the claims.. ... |
