locking wheel bolts
don't know if u have managed to remove the bolts but this worked for me, twice. loosen the other 4 bolts approx 2 full turns. drive around the houses lots of corners. a rough road surface will help. mine freed in 1-2 miles. keep getting out to check. as I said it worked for me, I am not telling you to do it. the responsibility is yours. good luck and let us know. peter.

Is someone SERIOUSLY suggesting driving around with 4 loose wheel bolts? Darwin award anyone? Even more stupid with the weight of the V8. |

I presume the OP has succeeded in removing the wheel nuts by now, I had the same problem with mine, and actually snapped the 1/2 drive socket extension bar.
The lock key proved to be stronger than my socket. I did win in the end though. Because part of the problem is maintaining a good engagement of the key, my suggestion is to use a hammer drive screwdriver which will allow you to hit it directly on the end with a lump hammer while the driver provides the turning action. |
