I hit the 100 mark with the first zt in 2007 when prices hit 1.75ppl for super unleaded here =#

Now I only fill 40 litres at at time, I do the same fuel amount and just ignore price.

The cost of a conversion is £1100 at profess (rough), £1100/£36 is 30.5555 fill ups needed to recoup the cost of the conversion. 30.5555 tank fills x a range of 270 a tank would give a mileage of 8249.985 miles to break even.
That is roughly wht you would expect. 8000 miles to recoup.

A no brainer really if you use the car regularly.

I cant be ***** to do the maths, but your figures look out by some margin to me.
I didn't know that. Last time I looked (when I was doing 15,000 miles a year) it was about £2000.

Personally I never know how long I'm going to keep a car so spending £1100 that I won't get back is a bit of a risk. In hindsight I wish I'd kept my ZTT190 and LPGd it rather than going via a diesel Volvo (fantastic car) back to a 2.5 75.

My pajero had a 110 litre long range tank and used to do 12-18 mpg round the doors and 22-27 on a run if nursed. I'm saving a fortune with my cdti even if it is an auto

Go on other car owners sites where people have big v petrol engines and lpg is a big part of what they talk about. Fitting it, maintaining it and running it.

Here....

Yes, will do in the long term, although my recent mileage has been very small hence the shock when I did need to brim it

I intend to keep the car forever(ish!) and will probably get it LPG'd within the next couple of years.

Ouch, you're leading for costlist fill-up on a 75/ZT atm...

EDIT: I take it that in NI fuel costs more than the mainland?

I always fill right up, and at that time I had not had the car long so was getting used to how far it would go on a tank, and given the tank is nominally 65 litres (I believe) I don't think I could have got much further! I tend to fill up a lot sooner now.
That was close! The Technical Brochure states that the useable capacity is 64.8!

Surely nobody has run theirs down further than you
