![]() I knocked it up using an old pipe fitting and some plastic hose to get through the winter the last time the slave failed (around 100k miles ago). If anyone wants to make one don't forget to seal the vent hole in the cap. ![]() This is the GhettoTech cold pressure tester - didn't cost a penny. ![]() ![]() Last edited by Mike Noc; 12th June 2020 at 07:51.. |

![]() Ghettotech Industries are definitely in a similar business to Frabtel Incorporated
Behold the Frabtel clutchmastercylinderfillomatic 2000 ™ This gizmo was connected using a tube and syringe arrangement to save my back while waiting for a break in the weather to change the clutch on my dad's tourer. It requires the condom to have a nick cut into it, and also the breather hole in the cap blocked. A definite valuable addition to your modern lifestyle ![]() Brian ![]() Last edited by marinabrian; 12th June 2020 at 08:55.. Reason: A valuable addition to your modern lifestyle |

![]() now found the issue:
no air is allowed in the master cylinder reservoir or anywhere else in the system.. i'm even going to go the extra mile and reverse bleed the system to crush the plastic Condom within the master cylinder for an extra stiff clutch ![]() hoping after that i'll make it to the moon and get my sticker off Trikey ![]() Last edited by mor75; 12th June 2020 at 20:42.. |

When you reverse bleed the clutch, you need to be especially careful not to compress the condom in the master cylinder excessively, as there needs to be enough space left for fluid returning to the reservoir from the slave ![]() You will feel the resistance on the syringe plunger......that is the time to stop ![]() Brian ![]() |

![]() I have a Rover75 cdti deisel and just recently when i started the engine i couldn;'t select a gear but could select all gears with engine turned off. This happened a coupe of weeks ago and my local garage found that my clutch pedal stuck. He just gave a pull and everything was great Just recently i had the same problem and the mechanic said that this time it wasn;'t the pedal.
I'm 77 and this was to be my last car as i love Rover 75s but i';m concerned if it needs a new clutch this is goint to cost me about £1000 which i just couldn;'t afford.Anyone out there able to help would be appreciated big time. Could end up probably back on the bus which id a shame as i bought the car less than 6 months ago.HELP bRIAN |
