Does the engine or FBH have to be running?
If its the problem we are talking about are you saying it will make the same sound?
If it is a problem with the ECU, will it be okay to leave it with the fault? moneys a bit on the tight side and i need to use the car a lot.

Cheers and thanks to all for the response and help.
The pin 3 is free (the first one near you)but you have to remove the small
blue rubber plug to access the pin.
Immediately,a turbine noise is heard ;if you leave the wire in place, then the
burning cycle continues...accompanied by a kerosine smell !

If you don't want it repaired for the moment, disconnect the 6 pin connector
and tape or tie it to prevent the loom rubbing.

Your on Mike. Will the FBH stop coming on every time the doors are opened.? It only comes on for a few seconds and then goes off again.

Hi Mike.

When you say unplug all does that mean those three indicated and what address to send and how to pay. unplugging will it affect the running of the car.

Kind Regards

I have the same embarrasing problem with my V6 petrol. I have really enjoyed reading the description of all the comments, a real good lift to a dismal Monday......

If you're talking about the 'whooping' noise Jules has recently said that it indicates high refrigerant pressure in the air conditioning system due either to:
  1. Failed engine cooling fan speed or speeds.
  2. Low efficiency condenser due to damaged fins.

First thing to do is to check that the fan's slow speed is working by pressing 'demist' on a cold engine.

Simon.
