I worked for a taxi company, we had a big Fiat minibus which didn't move that often and sat in the corner of the car park, right next to the bins. He'd only had it a few months when it developed an electrical fault and the boss took it in for what he thought would be a warranty repair. Err . . . . no! Rats had chewed through wires. Boss was the only one not laughing about it

Well I saw the first one alive in the morning so it's possible. I cleared a nest out from the N/S wing in the engine bay in the Frontera only he other day.

Will have to wait until tonight ans see if we catch any more to have a better idea.

I have a friend who MGBGT's interior was ripped to bits by mice shortly after showing the car at a car show. He thinks the mice came from the field where the cars were on show. They are so small but caused big damage!

Have you checked with the prev owner as to legal ownership of aforementioned rodents? Don't want to find yourself in Court for murdering his family pets do you...

He may of course want them returned to him in good condition, and being dead hardly meets that criteria innit.. lmho..

I dont know why you all find this so funny. as it is serious problem !! and can be very expensive.
1. It can result in excessive squeaking, which is extremely difficult to locate.
I use 2 cans of WD40 to get rid of my squeaks. and at £10 for both tins I was not amused.
2. The cost of a new CAT is nothing to laugh about either, especially when you think the factory fitted one should be doing the job.

3. On a more serious note... you can purchase these 12 volt efforts off Ebay an although expensive at £32 ..they could save you a fortune on wiring etc etc etc.

best of luck with the Cheezywotsit munchers... hope this helps.
