Another thing that's crept into Christmas advertising is, Get your Christmas three piece suite delivered before Christmas day! Since when did that that become a traditional thing to have a new three piece suite for Christmas!

all we had to put up with with back in the day was Summer holiday adverts on TV between Christmas & New Year

As has already been mentioned, Easter is just around the corner. I recall that Jan 1st this year brought the first Cadbury's Creme Egg commercials.
(for legal reasons, other egg-related products are available!)

Particularly annoying is all this "Black Friday" advertising....I hate it with a passion...a black day indeed with people half-killing each other for what? It has no place in the run-up to Christmas. Just aggressive US-style marketing with cheapo brands that you can buy before and after said date if you wish. Better brand deals from local businesses or on-line.
