Just remember that Governments have NO money - it is OUR money and if they want to prop up groups or causes that we don't agree with, then it is the democratic process which can control this.

Lee, I don't blame you for going that way. With the scarcity of NHS staff to remain in the NHS, doctors and nurses are being seduced away to the private sector with promises of better pay and working conditions.

A mate works as an agency nurse and picks up £1000 p.w or £250 per night in London. A few months ago, he bought himself a house in Northampton with his missus who works in the NHS as a Midwife. Even with having to commute between Northampton and London by train for the work, he is still quids in.

I understand why nurses etc work for agencies to get the big bucks, but for me its immoral. The agency charges exorbitant fees for the staff they provide - effectively robbing the NHS.

I personally couldnt morally do it.

But then if the NHS just paid its own staff more for OVERTIME shifts they could undercut the agencies.

Spend to save!

I refuse to do overtime as its pays so poorly...my policy is I'll swap my shift to cover but otherwise you can Foxtrot Oscar
