Our fuel prices are creeping up and up and up so expect the return to be more expensive

Don't reckon our manual diesel is getting any better than that!

I really must get the inlet manifold changed for a clean one and get the inline stat mod done....

Ok..Slight change of plan here,the caravan to come through so we have rented a chalet on the campsite. If my car does around 30 mpg how much am I looking at roughly for a 700 mile round trip (sorry my maths is useless). I've been on n mpg site and its telling me around £63 each way,just seems to cheap in my guzzler ?

700miles / 30mpg = 23.33 gallons of fuel

23.33gallons = 106 litres

106 litres of unleaded at say £1.35 = £143.10 or £71.55 each way

Would have thought about nearer £70+ myself each way and budget for circa £160 for the round trip to take into consideration the price of petrol in France and possible losses due to rate of exchange sterling to euro's etc.

Not been over to France for about a year, petrol is normally slightly more expensive - only ever managed a best of 31mpg with a KV6 manual and 25mpg with a 75 V8 auto, cars were only two up with luggage for a week.
