Clutch - £1500
Front shockers - £500
Rear brake discs - £300
Cylinder head repair 'if' the threads strip on the spark plug - £?? (repaired my own so unsure how much a garage would charge)

Add in the 'unobtanium' ecu's and some folk may be biting off more than they can chew.
Still cheaper than many Audi, BMW or Mercedes high performance cars for brakes etc

Obviously a MG ZT 260 limited to 155 mph and a 0-60mph in 6.2 seconds is not a high performance car in your eyes!

No I was not at the meet you mentioned

Yes, I got told that one Audi comes in at £1200 for front discs and pads!

Not sure which model it was.

I didn't say they weren't fast, however having driven a C63 Merc, that really was rapid.........sub 4 second 0-60

Anyway I owned a Marina Pickup which did 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, and that had a nice lightweight Buick V8 under the bonnet, and a bit like the 260, it was happier in a straight line than in the corners

At it's launch the 260 was praised for it's dynamic chassis and handling capabilities.

So how it compares to a V8 Morris Marina is beyond me

I seriously looked into V8 ownership a while ago and this is the exact reason I didn’t Persue it. As much as I love the cars and the idea of ownership I can’t live with the cost of parts and unavailability of stuff if you need it quickly. Hats off to anybody that does own them and I think this is a fantastic opportunity to own possibly one of the best out there at a reasonable cost.
