Just waiting for the USA to sign the USA/EU Free Trade Agreement and then we should want the same without all this EU nonsence.

I wouldn't worry. It is aimed at new eu states that have lots of clapped out vehicles. As they can cone over here it perhaps isn't such a bad idea forcing these countries to have yearly mots on all of their cars. The alternative is having untested vehicles on our roads. May mean that some of our hacks such as blanking egr's off and removing cats becomes impossible. Oh well.

May I suggest you all read this very topical post, the truth they say is often spoken in jest. Enjoy, I know I did.

A EU concession will be made for the Alfa to protect it's "heritage." Only British cars will be ordered to comply.

The problem with the policy makers and those imposing rules is that they just dont get the vintage/classic car scene becuase they are driven around in Jag, Mercs and BMWs (high end, high fuel comsumption vehicles) and have lost links with heritage.

There is nothing nicer than seeing an old car still being driven on our roads by an enthusiast in amongst the euroboxes.
