Aye, let's ban everything that we don't like, instead of allowing people to make their own choices. So you'll be banning cigarettes and I'll be banning alcohol, no doubt someone out there will be banning cars and before long we will all be taxed for having any kind of enjoyment before they finally find a way of banning that too. Here cometh the automaton society.

1p off beer, total joke. I wonder what the drinkers in the Pubs will make of that one.

According to AROnline, it was announced that they have extended the tax exemption on pre 1973 classic cars to pre 1974. Lets hope it rolls on year by year now.

well the great news if you earn £500,000 per year is that you will now be £17,000 per year better off!!!

And the nurses and others can pay by a continued pay freeze; or by being cut altogether

Its like 1982 only without the mini metro

Don't know why there's so much moaning goin on.
Yes, fuel hasn't gone down, but at least it hasn't gone up.
Same with a few other bits but nobodies mentioned one of the more important things.
Tax on earnings has moved so it starts at 10k. That means I get an extra £400 this year.
Do even though nothing's really gone down, everyone on more than 10k has got more money to spend this year.

And, it's only the first day after its been announced. Give it time, something's bound to change...
