The wiring in that area in general is known to suffer, usually bad connectors but also wiring itself has been found broken, tis very much trial and error though

The said wiring does roughly a 90 degree turn towards the middle of the car before disappering throught the bulkhed etc. The -shudder- of the diesel can over time cause a break in one of the wires just at the 90 degree point (from the horses mouth aka Corin)

Just to clean this up.

The ABS fault was due to a broken wire on each of the front sensors somewhere in the loom.

hello m8 iv just sorted out my srs t4 won't communicate error in fact i tried 3 differant plugin diagnostics the srs fuse is marked under the passenger footwell mine was fine all plugs where cleaned under the seats & making fine so yesterday i changed the srs ecu & A Presto the air bag light now go's out got mine off seancar69 he breaks nothing but rover & he's a member on here check this handy tool i found so i didn't have to take my seats out if you need to go that way make shure to pull out the srs fuse or dissconnect the battery & wait a few minutes so any stored power is drained if you do need a ecu make shure its off the same model & same amount of airbags & its not been depployed hope this helps
