Seriously though, why not have a second referendum (anybody getting quite good at typing this previously seldom used word) so that the 'Remainers' can get the results they wanted. Then the 'Brexiters' can ask for another (as is their democratic right) until they get their result.
Then we can just keep batting it back and forth until a winner is declared when finally run out of ballot paper.
No trees were harmed in the making of these ballot papers.

I think what he is saying here is that IF it were a close call he (and presumably those who think the same way) would continue the fight to hold a second referendum at some point should any circumstances change or the weight of pulic opinion push more in their favour, it could be 20 years later. If it were obvious that a clear majority voted to stay he would call it a day for his campaigning as there would be no point continuing in to the future.

He is not claiming he would campaign to hold a re-run of the same referendum two days later because he didn't like the outcome?

I think I'm going to leave this forum for a week or two it's just getting out of hand over this subject, I went to a 75ZT meet at Thryburgh this afternoon and I don't think I heard it mentioned once.

I don't have a problem with this - whilst the referendum was a UK wide poll - you have to look at the demographics. England voted far higher for OUT than the average across the 4 Nations. Boston Linc.s was over 70% Out.

Scotland and NI voted IN and I think Nicola Sturgeon is doing a cracking job of dealing with the situation Scotland is now in.

The people of NI seem to have a Trump card in that they can apply for Irish Passports if the wish. How great is that! Joint nationality and you can choose on a daily basis according to need what you want to be!

But - for the rest of us - we have to remember that if Scotland IS taken out of the equation - then the result becomes a significantly stronger OUT for the rest.

That just leaves us to deal with the Out of Touch Inner London Westminster.

So ............... No change there then......

Thing is.. there was a vote and "out" was the outcome.. leave it at that. see what happens..

whats the point in having a vote if the unhappy party has to call for another??

I am an out voter, but said if it was an "in" vote then so be it.. I'd live with it and not kick up a fuss..

thats just my opinion...

I'm unhappy with the Euromillions Friday draw and am asking for it to be rerun as I didn't get the result I wanted.

I'm also supporting this petition.
