Already saw your pics and vid, Hans-Peter . Nice looking job .
I may change the speakers at some stage, but I'm quite happy with the audio at the moment. One of the jobs I must do is to get the remote steering control working. At you pointed out in your thread, the Kenwood adaptor does not work on this head-unit for some reason. So I got the IR remote and have ordered the PAC-SWIX. Hopefully that should sort it out.

You don't need the Steering wheel Control - really. Everything is working fine through the Touchscreen and the Volume Control Switch. I'm thinking to buy the Original Remote Control for the 5220 and place it where I can use it best...sometime...
Btw. - thank you !

I got this replacement remote. The originals are about £30 plus postage . The replacement seems to operate all the functions that I require.

The Kenwood has probably cost about 3 times the price of the Chinese HU and I suppose I really should question whether its worth it. There is no doubt that the audio is much better and the GUI is also much improved but was it worth 3 times the price? Anyhoo I try and finish off the fitting next weekend and post a few pics.
