Default Dab not 100%

Coolcat: Please can you give me some ideas I can try out....All now working as they should with the exception of DAB. Ariel located on the LH side of the windscreen but I am not getting a signal, well, I can get the screen to come up with a chart of stations -local area. But the reception bars on the top lh side of the unit are in white which I believe should turn to green protraying signal reception? I receive interferience/crackling. Have you a simple sketch of the DAB wiring layout to allow me to check what I've done. Don't ask! Any advice would be most welcome.
cheers
John

In my opinion, if you are using the sellotape aerial you will not get any clear signal unless you are close to the transmitter and parked up, they are pretty useless.
I went for a roof mounted but that requires drill a hole in your cars roof.
There is a window type that goes onto the door glass.
Radioguy sells both types.

Hi John,

There are only two cables involved with the DAB for Navall Star so a wiring diagram shouldn't be needed.

The USB lead connects to the head unit and DAB and the brass SMA connector on the DAB aerial connects to the DAB unit.

As Ken said above though, DAB reception can vary greatly from different locations and may require an upgraded aerial from the standard supplied aerial.

Best thing to do is find out where your local transmitter is and take a drive out to somewhere near it.
Then scan the unit and see what you get. With it tuned in then drive back home listening and see if the signals still work.
If not you will need to get a better aerial for reception in your area.

Sean sells upgrade aerials should you need one
