I just wanted to say a big thank you to all those involved that made it possible for us to meet , hear and learn more about the 75 from the MG Rover dignitaries. This was a really special opportunity combined with good weather and a great turnout out cars and like minded individuals made for a fantastic event. This is the first national event i have attended and it was the cars first outing this year.
It was really good meeting and talking with so many of you and we thoroughly enjoyed the day. Fantastic that we had so many attend from the Netherlands, Belgium, France and Germany that's enthusiasm. Last edited by JJay; 15th April 2024 at 19:11.. |

Sunday part3
Some really nice cars on display, we all enjoyed the day and hope to make it to the next one. Thank you to all those who organised the event and made it such a great day. We didn't attend the talk as the kids were getting a little restless as the afternoon went on, it had been quite a long weekend. Thanks RobIMG_20240414_122716.jpgIMG_20240414_113651.jpgIMG_20240414_113207.jpg Sent from my moto g13 using Tapatalk |

I popped into my local Hospice charity shop today and looking through the book section saw a copy of 'Making Cars at Longbridge' by Gillian Bardsley and Colin Corke. What a strange coincidence that it has pictures of the last Rover 75 built which we saw at Gaydon on Sunday! Sadly It also has a picture of the last painted body shells 'stranded in mid-cycle by the halt of operations...' what a waste!
An excellent book though with plenty of photographs from a hundred years of manufacturing. |

For any members that couldn't attend on Sunday, this was by far the best national meet in the club's history ! (Sorry...)
The selection of our cars on display was excellent, the weather was very near perfect, Gaydon is an ideal venue and the guest speakers from the Rover design team made this by far the most memorable meet-up. Paul (Reebs), Pete and everyone else involved in the organisation and running of the event did an excellent job, one which I'm sure many other clubs would be very envious of. I find it hard to imagine any current day marques having something like this in 25 years time, where you can actually chat to those that brought your car from concept to finished product. So very well done and thank you to all those that made this event possible, can I get my booking in now for our 50th ??

I would like to thank Paul and everyone involved in organising a great annual meeting and the talk from the guest speakers from the Rover 75 design team was fantastic.
Great to see so many 75’s and ZT’s in one place. Weather was kind too and the venue was an excellent choice. My ZT did just short of 600 miles over the weekend, after also going to the Great British Car Journey on the Saturday. Thankfully it didn’t miss a beat and made it back home safely. |
