Forum Closure During Windrush' Funeral
In another thread it was suggested that the forum close down for a time tomorrow, possibly for the duration of Derek's funeral. Everybody (including some mods) agreed it was a good idea but the thread never came to a conclusion.
Can someone from the club management clarify if this mark of respect for a highly valued member is happening, if so when and for how long because personally I wouldn't want to disrespect the gesture by attempting to open the forum. |

Yes it was agreed to close the forums for the duration of the service tomorrow at the very least and that is exactly what I will be doing. The service starts around 10:45am and the forums will be shut at that time. As to when they will reopen, that depends on when proceedings conclude tomorrow.

Hi Phil,
Yes, Reebs has confirmed this evening in another thread here that the forum will be closed for the duration of proceedings: Quote:

It was me that initially raised the question in the LCOZ Cliff. It was suggested in this thread but nobody said yes, no or what was happening.

It was a lovely thought Steve, glad you came up with it. A testament to Derek that so many folk are content to see the forum closed for the duration of his funeral.
He was highly thought of and is sadly missed, no doubt about it. Cliff
