Well that was most enjoyable, thanks everyone for turning up & making it worthwile.
This morning's Northumbrian convoy went like clockwork both Barry & Keith landed about 10 mins early & caught me tucking into my bacon & sausages (dont tell the Doc) & we left my place as planned at 9.15 & met up with Brian at Seaton Burn Services, Brian was running a little late having originally turned up too early & thinking we'd already gone
We all headed off in convoy through the new Tyne Tunnel & down the A19, when we got to Easington Services I realised my flock hadn't realised they were turning off there & I was going on to Teesside to drop the old'uns off at their friends' place so I quickly signalled to Barry who took evasive action & darted into the services but everyone else stuck with me
So I decided the best course of action would be to lead them to the meet site in Hartlepool. On my way back out about half a dozen 75's & ZT's went straight past the entrance so I hung back thinking if they see me they'll latch on & follow me
I got Ma & Pa Diesels dropped off & returned to find a good line up of cars & a couple of surprise visitors
As soon as I got out of the car the heavens opened again so a few off us made a mad dash for the tea-room which is on board the PSS Wingfield Castle, the rain stopped & apart from a couple of tiny showers & a strong wind it ended up quite a pleasant day.
So once again thanks everyone & I hope you enjoyed it

For "a few of us" read those of us with sense who made a swift untraceable exit...

For "mad dash" read a full on sprint Linford Christie would have envied....

I tried to follow but you all disappeared....I won't take it personally

....much.

At the moment the Marina is too far for me, but if you can move it 100 miles nearer I could make it next time.
