Rons Synergy 2 on top of the 135ps models weather original or upgrade will give you approx 152-155bhp depending on other mods ( air intake, egr bypass, helper spring for turbo etc.) If you want to go higher than that you will need a custom remap on top which with the Synergy will give you 170bhp.

Other makes of "chip" are none adjustable, don't have a mafam ( which you'll need as all mafs de-grade) and some of the claims aren't as good as they say they are.

Talking Easy Way To Check Diesel 116 or 135

Don't worry about the paperwork - check the B post on the car (i.e. the one the front door slams on to). There's a panel with some info on it, on one side or the other (can't recall of the top of my head, sorry ) and there will be a number, either 01 or 03. The 01 indicates the car is a 116 PS engine (114 bhp) and the 03 indicates the 135 model with 131 bhp.

Was shown this by the MGR salesman who sold me the car.

Don't see anything like that on the silver VIN plate. Lot of weight numbers and the VIN code It says entry level plus though, but i presume thats what the ZT+ means.

If theres no sign of anything on the door pillar, then think respray!

I had a look for the 116/131 sign on a 75 I looked at but was not there. Turned out the entire right hand side had been redone as a non insurance job and did not show up on the HPi....

The "+" part of the designation is trim level and is irrespective of the engine fitted. The ZT trim line-up is as follows (applicable to ZT and ZT-T cars regardless of registration year):

ZT (aka 'entry level') = Bottom of the line
ZT+ (aka 'entry level plus') = Middle of the line
ZT SE (aka 'Special Equipment') = Top of the line

Of course, there is nothing stopping the first-owner specifying various optional extras so the trim-level can be a bit misleading if you're trying to compare cars on paper.

Hope that helps.

Black sticker with one number with loads of 0000000's? If so it ends in 1.
