Call me a sceptic but a car won't fail MoT on a misfire alone as long as it meets the emissions. As for the shocks, if it's the front they are rare as hen's teeth (NLA) and can only be re-valved, if the dish that holds the spring is gone you need to find a new pair. Haven't come across rear shock for a while now so maybe NLA as well.

And is it just a tappet?

As I said, make sure you can get the parts and then decide but do the homework first.


BTW. its VIN #699 and there is a thread about the misfire issue and tappets over on the 260-ties

Disappointing grey with a rear end shunt? Wouldn't touch it with a barge pole

so was a certain biomorphic ztt that I brought, that had serious issues but I still brought it. Put it back on the road after putting a new engine in it.

im after a V8 and a project, wouldn't it be best going to an enthusiast and trying to save it?

if all else fails I can try and put the engine in my ZS
