430 miles and over 7 hours !!! other end of the country, a national meet I would have thought some place central rather than the end of the country ...just a thought
enjoy the day folks ..way too far for me at least (and a few others I see) |

It's been discussed many times before. National meets, move around the UK so that it's fair to everyone travel wise. We've had more than our fair share of central based Nationals, last year included.
I'm sorry you can't make it, but there will be others |

I quite agree, central doesn't always mean accessible.

Would have loved to come, but distance for a one day meet, will sadly mean we will have to pass on this one.As Paul has said,Nationals have to be fair for all members, but with distances most members have to travel, its not always feasible for just one day.
I remember in the early days of the club,we had our second meet at Beaulieu,a visit to Bucklers Hard was arranged on the Saturday, followed by a social evening at a Pub/Restaurant,the meet itself taking place at the Motor Museum on the Sunday What a fantastic weekend it was, time to relax after a long drive,a lovely social gathering the Day & Evening before & a superb venue for the club meet, made the travel all the more worthwhile, just my opinion of course. As said, very sorry to have to give this one a miss, but hope all who attend have a great day both weather & meet wise. Best Regards. John.

We are looking to arrange a drive on the Saturday followed by a meal at a local pub. Details are yet to be finalised but it will mean folk wanting to make a weekend of it have something to aim for the day before

Totally agree Paul, the southern most members haven't had a meet in their locale for a while,so its only fair, everyone gets a fair crack of the whip so to speak.
