Default Bonnet catches

Hint. When doing slider block mod. lift the cables as high as poss and run oil down the cables towards the bonnet pull handle and the 2 to the catches.
Where the cable breaks, usually those to the catches, it is often because the cable has rusted. Oiling will help prevent this & assist smooth opening.
(you have to lift the cables from the slider anyway when turning over.)
After doing mod to slider block clean bonnet catches completely, grease top and bottom side. Then back off the 2 bolts holding the bonnet catch a very small amount[U]It makes a world of difference and doubt they will give further trouble.
