Plenty of people willing to answer any question or address worries potential buyers may have through the public section though. No reason not to join even when only looking for a V8 and ask questions over on a site dedicated to the V8. Lots are members on here as well and will answer through this forum or point towards someone on the 260ties who know more. And there is always Spunagain's site |

I can only speak as I find, used 260s to get info prior to buying, very helpful indeed.

The Two-Sixties forum has two separate areas. The Public Area is open to everyone, it costs nothing to ask questions about problems and/or prospective purchases including any known issues/history with specific cars. The Members Area is only accessible to people who have paid their MGOC subscription and who own a R75V8/260. As the MGOC hosts the Two-Sixties site then this is a pre-requisite for access.[B] Hope this helps clarify the situation, I know not everyone agrees with the closed nature of the site but that is another debate. |

I fully understand the difference between the 2 areas of the forum & agree with your reasons but I just feel it could do with at least a buyer's guide which is accessible to the non subscriber. As far as sensitive info such as bonnet opening etc. then yes that probably should be protected to a certain degree but a little more info for the prospective buyer wouldn't go amiss

personally I didn't join untill I had bought my 260, but i found what information I could view vey useful. If I had joined the Two_sixties Forum before I had bought It would have been better for me, as I could of asked questions as well!
