Most bits are polished stainless steel available on the bay of thieves – worth searching for mini and mg stainless parts too. For the fuel filter cover just cut some polished aluminium sheet to size. I wasn’t keen on blacking the expansion tank so got it metalised (vacuum applied aluminium coating) from a firm in Kent (Invictavac) who I’m going to get to do my spare grill. Not cheap but still better than the prices some go for on flea bay and I'm quite pleased with how it came out.

I wonder if Ronnie has made enquiries already about chroming his plastic bits
