Would it be sad to say I have a dual timer system and my hi tech condensing combi boiler has a serial port for PC access and an outside temperature sensor so it can calculate when it needs to fire up to meet the programmed room temps

Oh and I have a wood burning stove as well, that's nice and simple :lol:

A thermostat how quaint

Mine has a live feed via PC from the Met office and as we know the weather forecast is always spot on so mine is programmed for maximum efficiency 14 days in advance

How long before boilers have IP addresses and we're accessing them from our mobile phones eh?

You can now, get an X10 central heating programmer and run it via Autom8 or Homeseer via a browser over the interwub or from a mobile phone

My cousins new house has all that electronic gubbins. his wife has already kicked off about it, saying she does not need a ******** computer to tell her when she is ******** cold. Nice girl really....
