Thanks Graham.
Not sure how I link to the gallery (Arial pic now lodged) but will try. However, I'm getting distracted from the task in hand which is to get my TV Aerial working.
Cheers Brian

Default Aerial Issues and other Ariels

Thanks Graham, I have uploaded to the gallery but still cannot link to the thread. Still trying to reslove my TV aerial though. If all else fails will go for a ride on the Ariel Leader (have a quick look)
Brian

Hi Brian.

Im assuming you've done the obvious like checking the connections to the on- glass aerial, and you have a good power and earth, if this is the case then the amplifier is likely duff.
Im sure you would be able to source one from the likes of SMC trading , roverbrakers etc, in order to keep things original.

Im in lancs and am reasonably handy with a multimeter so if you wanted to come up i could check it out for you ( not promising I can fix it though )

Thanks Black Olive thats very kind of you, I have done some more checks and managed to resolder the connections (using a cold soldering tool very useful but expensive) Checked the continuity which seems ok but still have the problem which I now take to be the amp itself so will try to find a replacement.
Best regards
Brian

No problems Brian. Any regular image program should be able to shrink your images for you to a reasonable size. If your still having problems then PM me and I will resize your image for you so you can re-post it

Hi Brian, thank you very much for this most glorious picture of a model I have never, ever seen before!
It looks like the day it left the factory, and this obviously explains a lot! Your speeling mistake was clearly a crime of passion!!
I wish I would have excuses like that! I just blame the spell checker:-) (smileys are on strike again!)
