A very interesting read. Rover still had bad habits back then with over complicating the variants and options list.

Default interior

having had si, sli and gsdi models it was the half leather seats in one of the gsdi i had that seemed the best. But the cream dash was a bu99er for glare on sunny days.

I know of 2 in Burnley in everyday use, a nightfire red and oxford blue sdi. Both look mint condition.

But having gone to 75s I dont think I could go back to a 600 (unless a sorted Ti).

I had a 620i, great car but I had a moment of madness and was tempted by a 3 litre Omega!

I had a 623gsi auto and then a 620ti, both were excellant cars. 623gsi was very reilable and drove great. Did like the fuel though. Wish i still had that car now.

Sold it to buy my ZS180. Still have the private plate that came with it though on my ZS

The Ti was fast and i got it just because i had always wanted one, didnt have it long as i was not keen on the colour and it just was not as nice as the 623. Saved it from being a scrap engine donor car though and gave it a bit of love and sold it on to someone that would look after it.

IIRC Honda put restrictions on a lot of interiors back in the day, there were a few weird 200/400 combinations for Rover back when there was the Honda partnership.
