Two nice automatics here, everybody likes them and people are surprised when driving or even being a passenger.

This besides the compliments the 75s in general get. They don't believe these are 'that old' cars (non-car enthousiasts probably).
2003 CDTI+ over 300.000km (has been a daily driver, now 'only' 25.000km/year, owned for close to 10years) and an early 2004 KV6 (mk1) over 230.000km (daily driver every day.... over 30.000km/year, owned since 2017).

No gearbox issues, fluid change is vital with the right fluid (done twice myself on both, myself buy fluid it at local Land Rover dealer) and 2/4 solonoid if harsh changes are happening and that has not been required yet on any, but have it on the shelf as a spare part. Can be fixed with gearbox in the car. Myself only wanted automatics from 2003 onwards as there has been a technical issue in the past (rear piston crack).

I have a Diesel Auto and ( touch wood) have not had any issues in 8 years and 70k miles the Japanese Jatco box is generally very reliable, your fuel consumption will be a little less than a manual but it all depends on the mileage you generally do, the more motorway miles the better! around town expect around 35-40 mpg and this is what I normally achieve, I tend to keep a light right foot and let the box change up when it's ready, and keep the rev counter around 2k RPM. in my opinion the 75 was built to be an auto car , it's much more refined and as you say no clutch issues to worry about.
